In partnership with Sheridan Lanes, Starlite Club will be hosting our 2nd annual bowling outing on October 12, 2024, to raise funds for the Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie K9 programs. Our communities – as well as the departments who rely on these K9 programs – are faced with ever increasing costs to continue these vital community services.
This fund raiser was initiated in 2023 out of the desire by a group of friends to resurrect the Starlite bowling outing. It quickly became a mission to find a cause that gave us all a purpose as well as a chance to party. As such, this annual K9 fund raiser was born…
To recap last year’s event, we set a goal to raise $10,000 collectively to be shared between the Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie programs. With your help, we exceeded our goal and awarded Kenosha’s K9 program with $12,500 and the Pleasant Prairie K9 program with $5,000 – prorated by number of dogs and needs. As a thank you from the Kenosha program, The Starlite Club and its volunteers were invited to select the name of the canine we helped put into service in June. His name is MIKA and he is SO motivated to serve and protect. You can follow MIKA’s progress on Kenosha PD’s Facebook page! Together with his handler Eric Glaum, MIKA is already making a noticeable impact. Whether you are able to help with our fund-raising efforts or not, we welcome you to attend MIKA’s post bowling demonstrations in the back yard at Starlite on the 12th! You won’t want to miss this!
GOAL – Raise $20,000 to fund the Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie K9 programs.
